How to Read the Chart

Smooth Trend Lines

Each colored curve tracks a country's cut-off date over time. The higher the line, the more recent the cut-off — meaning faster queue movement.

Gradient Area Fills

The colored shading under each line shows the overall coverage. Wider fill means the cut-off is further advanced. Toggle countries on/off using the legend buttons.

Current (C) — Green Zone

Lines touching the green dashed line at the top mean the country is Current — anyone in that category can file regardless of priority date.

Unavailable (U) — Gaps

Breaks in a line with a red U badge indicate periods where the category was Unavailable — the annual visa quota was exhausted.

Retrogression Rings

Dashed red circles around data points mark months where the cut-off date moved backward. The tooltip shows the exact number of days lost.

Stats Ribbon

The bar above the chart shows computed insights: average monthly advance, best/worst single month, frozen/unavailable count, and net movement over the period.

Time Range Selector

Use the 6M / 12M / All buttons to zoom into recent months or view the full 21-month history. Shorter ranges reveal recent acceleration or slowdowns.

Interactive Tooltip

Hover (desktop) or tap (mobile) any point to see the exact cut-off date and month-over-month movement for all countries with advance / retrogression indicators.

Disclaimer: Historical data is for reference. Past movement does not predict future dates. Dates can advance, freeze, or retrogress unpredictably.
