Visa Bulletin Check was born from a simple observation: millions of people around the world are waiting in line for a US green card, and the official government data that tells them where they stand is confusing, slow, and intimidating.

We believe that understanding your immigration status shouldn't require a law degree or hours of reading government PDFs. It should take 10 seconds, be completely free, and give you a clear answer you can act on.

Who We Are

Visa Bulletin Check is a small, independent project built and maintained by a team based in Lucknow, India. We are not a law firm. We are not affiliated with the US government. We are a group of people who believe that public government data should be accessible to everyone, regardless of where they live or how much they know about immigration law.

Our founder, @etherexperiment on Twitter, started this project after watching friends and family members struggle to understand the Visa Bulletin — the monthly document published by the US Department of State that controls when millions of people can finally apply for their green cards.
